2nd graders are still working on animals of the rainforest. This week they are working in stations or centers to classify animals. Check out some of the work they are doing in the following pictures:
Here they are trying to decide in which layer of the rainforest each animal lives.
The next few pictures show students classifing the animals by descriptions and opposites.
What do the animals eat?
How do the animals move?
What kind of animals are they?
This activity was a lot of fun and the 2nd graders did a great job of only speaking Spanish while working, even when they disagreed about the correct classification.
Love the animal activities...great idea to use opposites! And I'm glad your butterflies made it to Mexico...I'm not sure if ours did or not.
